Squats are one of the fundamental exercises in bodyweight training and also in general fitness training. This basic movement is required to master many other leg exercises and of the best exercise to build leg strength. The squat can be done without and with extra weight. Before loading extra weight the movement should be work perfect and in full range of motion.
This motion starts in standing position and ends in deep squat sit position. At the lowest part the butt nearly touches the calves of the athlet. The back is straight while the whole movement is done.

Correct execution

  • Stable stand with shoulderwide feed
  • Controlled and slow movement down to deep squat sit position
  • Back in straight position
  • Knees turn out to stabilize stand
